Xavier Vancells Arquitectura XVA (est. 2006) is a practicing contemporary architecture and design office based in Barcelona.


XVA's work includes a wide range of scales from small to urban scale. The office is composed by a team of various architects working in close collaboration with external expert consultants.


XVA's recently completed projects include the New ATHC Clubhouse (2010), the Sant Cugat City Hall in Barcelona (2009) and the Huarte Art Center in Navarra (2007). Planning and construction work has started on, among other projects, the Fire Station in Santa Coloma de Cervelló (Barcelona), the La Miranda Foundation in Llinars del Valles (Barcelona), the Cultural Center in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons, a Social Housing Block in Pont Aurell, Terrassa, and a 2200 housing units complex in Villahermosa, Mexico.


The work of Xavier Vancells has received several awards and has been recently exhibited in in the Cité de l'Architecture & du Patrimoine in Paris (2009), the ArchitekturZentrum in Vienna (2009), and in the Deutsches ArchitekturMuseum in Frankfurt (2007).
