Huarte Art Center openning

27/10/2007

27 October 2007
Representatives from the fields of Spanish culture and politics took part in the official opening of the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Huarte in Navarra, designed by the architects Xavier Vancells, Franc Fernández and Carles Puig.

This new 6,500-sq.-m space is the first cultural facility in Navarra specifically conceived for putting on exhibitions and other activities related to contemporary art.

The building’s exterior is a large black box covered by a metal net, which is used for organizing open-air activities. The galleries, spread over three floors, comprise a bright neutral space that can be adapted to the needs of each exhibition.
